This role is for a senior program manager in the Kuiper Satellite Embedded Software organization, responsible for converting the Kuiper Satellite Embedded Software roadmaps into detailed software development and delivery plans which support Kuiper wide goals and objectives. In addition, the Bus Software Development Technical Program Manager will manage changes to the organization’s scope, cost and timing and risk as they occur. Remote location possible for well qualified candidates.
Key job responsibilities
- Convert SES team Roadmaps to detailed development, integration and test schedules.
- Gather and manage dependencies across the organization to make sure that the delivery roadmap meets customer needs, negotiating and communicating adjustments accordingly.
- Conduct Monthly Business Reviews for each team within SES, in conjunction with the relevant Software Development Manager(s).
- Manage changes to scope, cost and timing as they occur.
- Identify and manage risks across the SES organization.
- Establish metrics for schedule performance across teams.

About the team
The Satellite Embedded Software Team owns the software that actually resides on the satellite’s flight computer, as well as many of the sensors and actuators which integrate with it.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI’s/SLA’s used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
