Senior Transportation NEPA Planner/Project Manager

HDR seeks an environmental planner/project manager to be part of the leadership of our growing Colorado Transportation NEPA/PEL Program. The successful candidate for this position will have applied experience in environmental analysis, particularly with the management and preparation of transportation NEPA and PEL documents. This person will be expected to lead environmental and transportation projects as well as support marketing efforts to win new projects and clients for HDR. This person will be expected to work collaboratively with resource specialists and engineering teams to manage large, complex projects. Recent experience with projects in multiple CDOT regions is required and experience working with other Rocky Mountain states is preferred. Strong experience leading public engagement and Context Sensitive Solutions processes is desired.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in the transportation industry
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience
  • NEPA experience focused on highway and transit industries
  • Good team player
  • Proven experience with marketing and business development
  • Recent, excellent relationships with the transportation and environmental community in Colorado or other Rocky Mountain states
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage diverse technical team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 20 years experience in the transportation industry
  • Masters Degree

The expected compensation range for this position is $61.41 – $87.74 hourly depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
