The Senior User Experience (UX) Architect is responsible for the envisioning, design and delivery of high-quality solution experiences and business outcomes based on the Microsoft platform. Demonstrating leadership in design-led innovation and deep knowledge of UX across the entire lifecycle, the Senior UX Architect leads transformational results aligned with business strategy, through the integration of UX offerings/activities into our Financial Services domain.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 5+ years experience working in product or service design
- OR Master’s Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 4+ years experience working in product or service design
- OR equivalent experience (e.g., experience using design thinking to solve problems).
- 2+ years of enterprise experience delivering data-driven user experiences in an agile product development cycle
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements is required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check. This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience delivering data-driven user experiences in an agile product development cycle
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams (PM, Developers, Content Designers, User Research, Data Science, etc.) to deliver innovative user experiences.
Product Design IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 – $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 – $238,600 per year.

- Delivers research, envisioning, and ideation based on a Design Thinking approach to create a user experience vision and strategy.
- Lead the research phase to understand users and context with interviews, observations, and discovery workshops with BDMs and stakeholders.
- Lead the envisioning phase to explore, ideate and communicate a desirable, feasible and viable experience vision, which is aligned to both the customer’s and Microsoft’s strategy and desired outcomes.
- Be the user advocate throughout the solution lifecycle, starting the discovery and envisioning from the users’ perspective through to providing oversight and guidance to the delivery teams to ensure the quality of the delivered solution matches the original vision and expectations.
- Collaborates with Digital Advisors, Domain and Cross-Domain Architects to translate user-centric vision to business models and technology/product strategy.
- Provides ideation, exploration, design-led thinking to ensure that customer transformation plans, and user experiences are delivered.
