Senior UX Designer, Amazon Foundational Security Services

At Amazon Web Services (AWS), Security is our highest priority. The AWS Security team is responsible for the security of services offered by AWS. We are looking for a passionate, customer-obsessed, results oriented Senior UX Designer to help us invent and simplify our security products. AWS Security is responsible for creative and innovative solutions that raise the bar for how AWS employees interact with resources, systems, and data.

The candidate will work directly with teams across AWS and Amazon including product managers and service teams to identify opportunities to delight our customers. The successful candidate is one who loves partnering with customers and stakeholders to design easy to use and secure products for all Amazonians. You are passionate about understanding customer needs and delivering for some of our most strategic features.

Key job responsibilities
• Develop customer journeys and case studies that tell compelling stories about our customers and their experience using our products
• Lead UX workshops to influence and facilitate co-design methodology
• Conduct surveys and other UX research efforts to better understand the needs of our customers
• Use both quantitative and qualitative feedback to measure and improve your designs
• Develop and test wireframes to validate new ideas
• Design a suite of internal software tools that help improve our operational processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams like product managers, developers, and designers.
• Advocate for the customer and user-centered design in a corporate environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 7+ years of design experience

– Knowledge of design tools such as Balsamiq, Omnigraffle, Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio, and Dreamweaver

– Have an available online portfolio

– Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax

– Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes

– Experience with UX design of complex workflows

– Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
