Worldwide Benchmarking Solutions (WWBMS) in Central Ops is seeking a seasoned and skilled Sr. UX Designer to deliver a best in class user experience on products. The role offers the opportunity to create innovative customer user experience experiences across multiple exciting product platform worldwide. In this role, you will help us re-imagine how operations customers understand, prioritize insights, and take actions.
A successful candidate will be highly motivated, curious, creative, highly analytical and able to work autonomously to drive impact as part of a growing cross-functional team. We are looking for a UX Designer who is a systems-thinker and highly-skilled at establishing and/or utilizing design systems as part of their design workflow. The ideal candidate is customer-obsessed and has experience collecting customer insights and feedback to help validate design thinking. UX Designers who have experience participating in foundational customer research (interviews, observational studies, contextual inquiry, etc.) and who are also adept at leading internal design workshops and design discovery activities are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate must be capable of synthesizing a variety of inputs into experiences and designs that customers love.

Key job responsibilities
• Create design briefs, strategies, proposals, and executive summaries as needed to keep the product team and WWBMS leadership team informed of design opportunities and design progress
• Lead cross-functional design reviews for input and sign-off on design artifacts
• Deliver design assets for new and existing products (mocks, product screen flows, user guidelines/explainers, etc.), clarification and consultation as needed to engineers when UX features are being developed
• Lead customer research and user-testing of design concepts and prototypes to influence product roadmap
• Innovate and improve ways for customers to shop for high purchase-frequency products like groceries and negotiate design trade-offs by recognizing system implications, design patterns, and desired user experiences
• Design and augment interaction patterns and influence company-wide standards that delight customers when shopping in both low-consideration and high-consideration shopping missions
• Establish high quality standards throughout the discovery, design execution, development, and quality assurance processes
A day in the life
You will collaborate with teammates to craft useful customer experiences at scale. Leveraging customer analysis, customer feedback, site metrics, your own intuition, and usability findings, you will create designs that address your customers’ problems at their level of need. From conception to completion, you drive the end-to-end UX design process, uncover strategies and opportunities, and work with stakeholders to implement and improve.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 6+ years of design experience
– An available online portfolio
– Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), a related field, or 4+ years of additional experience
– Experience with a variety of design tools (eg. Figma, Sketch, Illustrator)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills, including the ability to communicate interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively to leadership
– Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple organizations and drive alignment
– Experience designing consumer-facing or enterprise experiences
– Experience in applying and advocating for best practices for accessible UX
– 4+ years of experience working in direct collaboration with product managers, developers, and/or stakeholders
– Experience participating in the complete product development lifecycle of successfully launched applications
– Ability to prototype in environments like HTML, JavaScript, and CSS a plus but not required
– Ability to manage multiple projects and make impact in a fast-paced environment.
– Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate the rationale behind your design decisions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
