Senior UX Researcher, Workforce Solutions PXT-Talent

Key job responsibilities
• Be a UX research thought and executional leader for our team and larger organization. Learn and Be Curious about the employee, and the business, and communicate effectively to educate others on the art and science of user research
• Leverage your expertise in conducting end-to-end user research studies; planning, recruitment, execution, analysis and delivery
• Making autonomous decisions to evaluate which methodology and approaches work, and which don’t with an expertise in a wide variety of methodologies
• Partner with fellow UX Researchers, UX Designers and product stakeholders to develop and implement best practices and help create tools and self-service models to help our research practice and delivery of customer insights scale across our organization
• You’ll lead translating user insights into strategic recommendations to help our initiatives – collaborating with both designers and product leaders make informed strategic decisions

A day in the life

Working with fellow UX Researchers, UX Designers, and product partners – you will craft and lead end-to-end studies across both the generative and evaluative. You’ll dive deep into the data to bring forward new insights that drive product innovation to impact strategy to drive positive change for over a million Amazon employees. To empower a research-led organization, you will also help scale the research function, including the broader UX and product teams by developing guidance and tools for self-service research to help us center our work on the customer.

The Workforce Solutions team delivers a suite of products aimed at promoting a positive and flexible employee experience and challenging the status quo. This multidisciplinary team has created truly meaningful products and experiences for over a million Amazon employees. Our team works across flexible scheduling, organizational planning, and talent development.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years proven success leading UX research projects with demonstrated impact.

– 5+ years of experience managing all stages of research design (study design, test creation, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting).

– 5+ years of experience with research methods including: field research, usability, focus groups, survey design, and data analysis including statistical measures.

– BS in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Human Computer Design Engineering or related discipline.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– The ability to tackle complex, mixed method studies in a sometimes ambiguous space.

– Experience partnering with product teams, leveraging research to impact strategy and working together to create impactful and delightful user experiences.

– Experience in all aspects of the research process (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting) and ability to prioritize multiple requests successfully.

– Experience with behavioral data-collection and analysis skills, (e.g., designing, conducting, and analyzing all kinds of user data.)

– Experience conducting varied user research methodologies (study design, execution, data analysis, and devising customer insights/recommendations) and the proven ability to execute the right method, throughout the product development lifecycle.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $226,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
