Boeing’s Advanced Design and Prototype Solutions (ADaPS) organization in Huntsville, AL is looking for ADAPS Entry Level Missile Defense Software Developers to contribute to advanced development of the PAC3 missile defense system.
ADaPS (an organization of over 130 software engineers) supports programs across the entire portfolio of Boeing products including Space Launch Systems (SLS) Upper Stage, Advanced Missile Defense efforts including Patriot Advanced Capability, Aircraft modernization programs, Manufacturing automation, and Satellite programs. ADaPS specializes in implementing rapid prototyping and development programs using small, adaptable agile teams.

Position Responsibilities:
- Develop Test approaches and Test Procedures (Algorithms) to test complex sensor software.
- Develop Test Algorithms and strategies for both software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop testing of sensor software.
- Work in small agile teams composed of diverse engineering skills.
- Deliver documentation of test approaches and results
- Develop Test Station software to test sensor components including development and documentation of test approaches.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or other technical degree by Aug 2023
- Classroom or work related programming experience with any of the following software development languages: Ada, C, C++, C#, Java, and Python
- Operating system knowledge of LINUX or Windows
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with development of real-time software or integration of embedded software onto hardware
- Experience with LabVIEW RealTime development architecture
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python to script analysis or test segments
- Experience or schoolwork with Object Oriented Development in C++
- Experience with missile defense or aviation platforms
- Experience or schoolwork with the design of mission systems, sensors, or sensing systems for complex conversion of analog and waveform data
- Experience with high speed network interfaces
- Mathematical skills with probabilities and statistics and/or Calculus involving sensors
- Some work experience or knowledge of telemetry protocols and testing
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) .
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: $69,700 – $94,300
