This position will be onsite in the Dallas office Monday – Friday. 8:00 – 4:00 CST. No Weekends.

Working under the direction of the Mail & Money Movement Payments Manager, the Representative will work to achieve the goals of processing the following payment transactions: premium payments, loan repayments, and payments to purchase additional insurance; update premium payment arrangements to Premium Offset; change the frequency of policy premium payments; send the required forms/paperwork to owners to authorize service transactions or correct information. This position is also responsible for processing corrections for automated payment variances, providing manual updates for transactions that do not update automatically, and researching and responding to miscellaneous payment correspondence requests such as financial histories and reversal requests.

The representative is expected to work with moderate supervision from the Mail & Money Movement manager, and assistance from senior team members. They will work with other members of the Mail & Money Movement team to provide timely, efficient, and accurate service to policyholders, agents, and employees of related service teams through the basic processes.

Working under the direction of the manager the representative will work to achieve the goals of processing the basic work in the incoming mail via United States Postal Service (USPS), United Parcel Service (UPS) and other carrier services as well as emails and faxes; opening and sorting mail, batching documents for electronic imaging (scanning), indexing (electronic filing to associate policy), secure shredding of work, and processing of outgoing UPS and USPS.
• Open and sort, according to established work types, all incoming correspondence, and checks.
• Thoroughly review applications, letters of instruction, service forms, and checks to identify all key work types/policy numbers.
• Prepare documents for scanning which includes removing staples, taping together any torn documents, using appropriate stamps, and ensuring that pages are not folded.
• Demonstrate a proficient knowledge of scanning documents ensuring all pages are imaged and the image quality standards are met.
• Index all documents, including emails and faxes, with quality and efficiency levels as determined by department guidelines.
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of administrative and mainframe systems needed to handle service requests.
• Assist team members on a daily basis to complete unfinished work for basic work types in order to meet departmental and regulatory standards. Serve as a backup for any position within the mailroom.

Representatives will also be introduced to the reconciliation and balancing of the check deposits and electronic transfers to US Bank; which includes second level indexing (SLI) to assign a dollar amounts in as it appears on the check; releasing the batch for deposit into US Bank’s Singlepoint System for same day deposit.

Salary range: $32,500-$45,500
