Our factory in Crete, NE is one of the largest wet pet food manufacturing facilities in the U.S. as a mass producer of over one thousand tons of pet food per day, including brands like Alpo®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, Pro Plan®, Friskies® and Nestlé Purina Veterinary Diets® brands. As a Shag Driver, you will properly move and spot trailers while operating a motorized vehicle in a safe and correct method as prescribed by company policy. You will assist with loading and unloading of trucks when necessary and during idle time. - Performs daily maintenance check of shag trucks and trailers and completes written report that is turned into Team Leader
- Performs daily yard check as directed for loaded and empty trailers
- Loads and unloads shuttle trailers as well as load and unload regular loads if time permits
- Moves/spots all trailers as directed
- Has proficient knowledge of all finished products to facilitate the proper rotation of stock using the FIFO (First In First Out) method
- Keeps equipment clean and orderly and assists with general housekeeping to maintain food safety standards
- Complies with all Nestlé and plant-specific policies
- Perform all other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have a valid Class A CDL License
- 1+ year experience driving a commercial trailer/truck
