SHE Media seeks a Director of Sales Planning to oversee the development of innovative campaign strategies, create competitive, efficient media plans, manage junior staff and client relationships, and ensure the overall success of a best-in-class strategic sales planning organization. This role presents a unique opportunity for an individual to thrive in a stimulating and supportive team environment, while contributing to the growth of our overall media business. The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of experience working in sales planning, preferably with a Digital Publisher, ad-tech company, or related role, outstanding organizational ability, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail. Experience in post-sale campaign management and business analytics a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative campaign strategies and efficient, competitive responses to RFPs
- Supervise, guide, and train junior sales planning staff
- Brainstorm with Sales and Integrated Marketing to garner the most creative and strategic media plans, targeting recommendations, and RFP response recommendations
- Maintain a deep understanding of SHE Media’s product offerings and rate card
- Build comprehensive media plans within our order management system, working to reserve and book inventory
- Generate insertion orders and manage final bookings
- Collaborate with the Director of Client Services and other department leads to improve workflow, ensure client satisfaction, increase scalability of the team, and maximize profit
- Continuously update Sales Planning go-to materials and documents with internal stakeholders on a quarterly basis i.e. Benchmarks, Ad Products, Ad Specs, Rate Cards
- Establish relationships with trusted agency partners
- Oversee new hire onboarding and training including the development of training materials and onboarding processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 6-8 years of experience working in sales planning, preferably with a Digital Publisher or ad-tech company or in a related role
- Outstanding organizational ability, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to handle demanding clients with tight deadlines and large initiatives in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic; desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to multi-task – must be able to juggle multiple projects and clients
- Excellent communication skills – must be able to think critically about both client needs and internal solutions
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel & PowerPoint
- Experience with Mediaocean Prisma, Salesforce and Placements IO desirable
- Knowledge of the digital marketplace
Typical wage range: $85k – $93k
Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.PMC is committed to the health and wellness of our employees.
