Position Summary
The primary responsibilities of this position are picking, packing, and shipping for customer order fulfillment. The job requires the ability to read and write English, basic math and computer skills, and the ability and interest to learn new computer systems. Previous shipping experience is desirable but not required. This role will act as a backup driver for intercompany transfers.
Responsibilities
- Follow written production/shipping instructions
- Record production information on orders with basic data
- Properly identify and pick products to fulfill customer orders
- Process pick lists, delivery notes, and other actions as needed in NetSuite
- Back up Inventory Transfer driver
- Ship orders utilizing NetSuite, UPS WorldShip, and FedEx for both ground and freight palletized shipments.
- Assist with and help maintain first-quality dinnerware inventory
- Put first-quality dinnerware in the correct inventory shelf areas
- Accurately select, pack, palletize, stage, ship, and/or load customer orders for delivery of the product to customers without damage or errors
- Operate forklift, as-needed
Qualifications
- Excellent people skills: must be patient, flexible, and calm
- Desire to work in a warehouse environment
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Basic computer skills, familiarity with Google Suite
- Proficiency in basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to understand and adhere to safety rules
- As a backup driver, you:
- Must possess a valid California Driver’s’ License
- Must have a clean DMV record within the past 10 years, no major infractions
Physical and Visual Requirements
- The ability to transport finished goods (up to 30 lbs. at a time). The total weight lifted per day can be 3500 to 5000 lbs
- Other activities, include climbing, balancing, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, repetitive motion, grasping, and feeling
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as operating a motor vehicle and/or heavy equipment
Work Environment/ Hours / Compensation
This position is a full-time, hourly role reporting to our Bryant Street Warehouse in San Francisco. This position pays $25.40- $27/hour based on experience. This is a Union role. The hours are Monday – Friday, 5:00 am – 1:30 pm. Overtime may be offered during peak retail season.
Only Bay Area candidates will be considered.
