Job Description

Pay rate is $17.00.

The Warehouse/Shipping Associate receives in product for day’s production, checks environmental condition of delivery trucks to ensure they are up to HF standards, processes BOL’s (Bill of Lading) and PO’s. The Warehouse Associate also picks product from inventory as needed, delivers items to appropriate production area and makes adjustments on the computer. The Warehouse Associate/Shipping prepares completed products for transport by outside carriers.

You will

  • Shrink wraps pallets either manually or utilizing automation in preparation of shipment.
  • Ensures the scheduled orders are accurately counted and placed in the appropriate shipping lanes.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Communicate with drivers and shipping clerk to ensure dispatch occurs as indicated by company procedures.
  • Assists receiving and warehouse associates as needed.

  • Time Management and ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Understand the role of warehouse associates within the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic mathematics and computer skills (data entry, email)
  • Legible handwriting.
  • Dependability

You are:

  • Must be willing and able to work entire schedule as we cannot accommodate partial shifts or early/late
  • Arrivals.
  • Must be able to count and have basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and
  • fractions).
  • Basic computer skills preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

You have:

  • 6+ months of factory-related experience in shipping and receiving.
  • Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
  • Licensed forklift truck operator, preferable Crown or Raymond stand-up lift.

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the temp associate is in a manufacturing and assembly environment and is
  • regularly exposed to cool and/or cold temperatures (10o – 40o). The temp associate is frequently exposed to fumes
  • or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the temp associate is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop,
  • reach and lift for a minimum of 10 to 12 hours with or without reasonable accommodation. The temp
  • associates are required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects and/or tools. The temp associate is
  • required talk or hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
