Position Summary
Supervise, assign, review and participate in the work of staff responsible for maintaining and overseeing the Shooting Range Park; ensure work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures; and to perform the more technical and complex tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements
Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis
Associates degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or Public Administration; and
Four (4) years of shooting range experience; and
To include one (1) year supervisory experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver’s License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator’s Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
Possession of a valid Firearms Instructor Certificate within six (6) months from date of hire.
Possession of a valid C.P.R. and First Aid Certificate within six (6) months from date of hire.
Possession of a valid Cash Handling Certificate within six (6) months from date of hire.

- Operational characteristics, services and activities of a Shooting Range program
- Modern and complex principles and practices of shooting range management
- Modern and complex principles and practices of firearms
- Principles of municipal budget preparation and control and purchasing rules and regulations
- Principles of supervision, training and performance evaluation

- Operational characteristics of shooting range equipment
