Pay Range: $ 25.00 – $25.85
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Shortages Coordinator will be part of the Flow Control team, reporting to the Flow Control Supervisor, and is responsible for ensuring the timely reconciliation of inventory shortages associated with e-commerce, wholesale, and company retail store orders, managing order clean-up, and ensuring shortage inventory makes it to its destination, all within a semi-automated warehouse environment. The warehouse automation includes multiple case and unit sortation conveyors, transportation conveyor, automated storage and retrieval systems, automated labeling systems, goods-to-person picking and packing stations, and other warehouse equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Track production and identify inventory needs for shortages and other inventory discrepancies in the Pocket Sorter system, Residuals Pick Stations, and the Sorter Hospital (e.g., cartons that are in processing or in packing, Residuals Picks that are not completing, etc.) using spreadsheets, the WMS, and other systems software
- Search for available inventory and generate replenishment tasks for shortages
- If no inventory is available, short the order in the Shuttle/Pocket Sorter WCS (KiSoft Navigator)
- Manage order clean-up, including getting aging orders into the Sorter Hospital, coordinating with the Shipping department to close out orders that are packed or located but have not made it to Shipping, and, if the carton(s) cannot be found, coordinating and facilitating the urgent repacking of the order
- Ensure the Cross-Belt Sorter team gets their shortage inventory-track these using the main WCS and Shuttle/Pocket Sorter WCS
- Provide input to the end of shift report.
- EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- High school diploma, some college education a plus
- 3+ years’ experience in a Distribution environment setting preferred
Qualifications
- Able to work with minimal oversight and ability to ensure that all tasks are completed correctly, timely and in line with established guidelines and business needs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Able to work within in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, performing computer tasks, and responding to a high volume of contacts required
- Integrity and good work habits required
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
