Position Summary

We are looking for an inspiring, creative, sales-oriented Showroom Manager to lead our store in Sausalito. Your role is to ensure the store meets sales goals, and is a thriving place to work for a sales team. This role requires a strong knowledge of Heath’s business, focusing on store operations, planning and strategizing.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of all store functions and lead the showroom team in alignment with Heath’s vision, purpose and values
  • Run a profitable showroom by meeting sales and profitability targets
  • Create a high performing dynamic team through consistent training, coaching and feedback
  • Inspire customers and our staff through modeling and coaching on consistent selling behaviors that inspire customers towards a greater connection with our products
  • Effectively engage and lead a team by using Lean principles and implementing sustainability projects and programs in the Showroom

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of successful retail leadership experience in a fast-paced, high-volume showroom
  • Demonstrated dynamic leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate sales teams
  • Passion for design and other creative pursuits
  • Proficiency in interpreting and using retail financial metrics to drive key performance indicators
  • Demonstrated ability to set standards and hold team members accountable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Experience with POS systems and a high level of comfort with technology, including the ability to troubleshoot technology on both an iPad and laptop

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with Shopify POS

Work Environment/ Hours / Compensation

This position is a full-time, exempt role that works 100% onsite in our beautiful Sausalito Showroom. Currently working Wednesday through Sunday. By June the showroom will operate 7 days a week with this position working 5 days a week including at least one weekend day. This position pays $93,000 to $105,000/ annually based on experience. This position reports to the Sales Director.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, reach and grasp 30 lbs of ceramic dinnerware and to push/pull carts and bins of merchandise repeatedly throughout the day
  • Ability to see and distinguish between patterns and colors
