NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs

If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.

Salary Range

$118,500 – $201,400

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Are you passionate about facilities management? If so, you could be the Manager, Strategic Site Planning we are seeking to join our team!

We are seeking a dynamic and diverse individual to lead and manage site-wide facility and infrastructure (F&I) strategic capital planning and programming activities including strategic site planning, strategic program-based and institutional planning, and real estate strategic planning and acquisition.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for leading and developing a dynamic, multi-skilled team, to make progress in the focus areas listed above.

As the Site Strategic Planning Manager, you will:

Lead

  • Develop and lead delivery of a future vision for site maturation, characterization, and integration of F&I actions and strategies that are guided by scenario-based and known mission needs, infrastructure capacity, and organizational growth predictions.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive, strategic F&I campus master plan that includes both program-driven and institutional-driven needs and investments for the future.
  • Lead the strategic evolution and implementation of Sandia’s Real Estate Portfolio and associated acquisition strategies.

Influence

  • Actively engage in recommendations and document decision outcomes on project prioritization for long range F&I capital plans and strategies that support near term actions and set direction for F&I activities across other areas of facilities.
  • Proven ability to establish improved ways for interfacing and coordinating specific deliverables with external sponsors and Sandia Field Office (SFO) Oversight leaders to align plans, seek necessary approvals, and incorporate newly established F&I planning requirements.
  • Demonstrate strategic and conceptual thinking skills and creativity in approach; champions the development and implementation of strategic site planning proposals up, down, and across the organization to align key stakeholders and drive towards final decisions for large-scale F&I actions.

Collaborate

  • Responsible for engaging and, at times, participate in negotiations with U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and Department of Defense (DOD) relative to site infrastructure asset and land management, permitting of space and land, and contract requirements associated with real property management.
  • Balance the acquisition and development of staff resources, capabilities, and existing and future projects or programs to ensure Sandia’s mission and strategic outcomes are met.
  • Ensure that mission partner needs are satisfied safely and securely through managing and coordinating specific deliverables, overall program and project plans, budgets, structures, schedules, and staffing requirements.
  • Ability to establish advanced sustainable networks across the Laboratory complex. Develop and maintain effective partnerships and general knowledge of peer organizations and with the other internal and external mission customers and partners.

This position is eligible for telecommuting and the selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.

Qualifications We Require

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Urban Planning, Architecture, Facilities, Real Property Management or relevant discipline plus eight (8) or more years of relevant experience within a facilities management organization; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOE L-level security clearance.

Qualifications We Desire

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Architecture.
  • Five or more years of experience with DOE/NNSA facilities and infrastructure management systems.
  • Two or more years of demonstrated formal management/leadership experience.
  • Experience in campus or site planning, project development or building/infrastructure systems management, and project program management.
  • Experience working as a service provider with a strong customer focus and developing trust-based partnerships.
  • Active DOE/DOD security clearance.

Security Clearance
