General Purpose
Skating teachers work to provide opportunities for youth, adults, families and older adults to come together at Leddy Arena and attain new technical skills on the ice in a welcoming environment

Essential Job Functions
- Teach and assist with group skating instruction in weekly lessons and camp settings.
- Respond to public inquiries on arena programs, rules, regulations and use.
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements
- Ability to actively support City diversity, equity, and cultural competency efforts within stated job responsibilities and work effectively across diverse cultures and constituencies.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion as evidenced by ongoing trainings and professional development.
- Must be at least 15 years of age.
- Must have passed at a minimum the US Figure Skating Juvenile MIF test.
- Previous work experience teaching ice skating preferred.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work on a varying schedule with varying hours of work on various days of the week.
- Must be able to work effectively with other Arena staff and the general public.
- Ability to maintain professional appearance.
- Must successfully complete background check.
