Job Description:
The Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC) seeks a Social Media Marketing Professional to support the center’s outreach, marketing and promotion, and psycho-educational efforts to raise awareness about the importance of collegiate mental health and the myriad of services and resources available to support student mental/emotional wellbeing and safe use practices of alcohol & other drugs. The Social Media Marketing Professional is responsible for carrying out social media activities, assessing social marketing performance, and providing effective monitoring and collaborative approaches to enhance service promotion, improve student access to services/resources, and improve student utilization of resources which support student mental health safe use practices of alcohol & other drugs. This position is a TEAMS Time-Limited position with the CWC.
Essential Duties Include :
- Implementing social media strategies that increase/improve student engagement with mental health and alcohol & other drug campus resources (e.g., counseling & wellness center, GatorWell, etc.)
- Ensuring social media strategies are aligned with the CWC’s mission, vision, and values.
- Integrating social media campaigns into marketing initiatives and communication programs through cooperation and collaboration with campus & community stakeholders.
- Assisting with oversight of social media efforts and activities related to collegiate mental health and alcohol & other drug awareness efforts.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of social media outlets (e.g., pages, blogs, etc.) and identifying programs beneficial to working with UF students.
- Researching social media trends/platforms to establish strategies which best enhance connection and engagement with UF students.
- Assisting in planning and producing content for the CWC’s various communication channels, with a focus on video content for our social media platforms.
- Attending (virtual & in-person) mental health and alcohol & other drug outreach events to record and report on the experience, including photography, writing reviews for distribution and promotional purposes.
- Assisting with editing audio/video materials. Other similar duties as directed.
Expected Salary:
$45,000 annually
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and one year of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and appropriate experience.
Employment with the University of Florida is contingent upon the results of a criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with social media management and marketing strategies.
- Experience with design and/or video/audio editing.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills.
- Driven, detailed-oriented, and professional.
- Passion for mental health and wellness.
- Access to personal computer/laptop, internet connection.
- Previous experience in health field and related sensitivity for health information privacy and confidentiality.
