The Opportunity:
UCF Housing and Residence Life seeks a Social Media Communications Specialist I to join their team. This position communicates with the public through social media platforms; builds the organization’s brand and fields public concerns; and monitors brand reputation and keeps up with current events.

Responsibilities:
Tasks

  • Implements new strategies to improve social media performance and engagement rates.
  • Manages multiple social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Linkedin.
  • Tracks and monitors outcomes and statistics for website, social media, and e-communications.
  • Supports organization initiatives with mass communications through social media.
  • Assists with writing, developing, and strategizing online content.
  • Reviews communications from leadership to make sure messages are transparent and authentic.
  • Moderates user-generated content and messages based on the organization’s policies.
  • Monitors brand reputation.

Community

  • Builds connections and encourages community engagement.
  • Interacts with the community and responds to questions and concerns.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 0+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Knowledge of multiple social platforms and their functions
  • Knowledge of current and evolving trends on social media
