Social Media Coordinator & Junior Designer

Meadowbrook Church is currently seeking to hire a part-time (24 hours per week), Social Media Coordinator & Junior Designer in our Media Arts Department. This individual should be an active and dedicated Christian who is a member of Meadowbrook Church or willing to become one. A person with demonstrated experience in the Social Media and Design role. A person who will hold in confidence matters of information that may be sensitive to the well-being of others. A person committed to excellence in their responsibilities. All staff members are expected to: participate in departmental and staff meetings whenever scheduled, in small groups, in church-wide functions, attend a weekend service, tithe, and serve during a weekend service.

Job Description: The Social Media Coordinator is responsible to run social media accounts for Meadowbrook Church with goals to maintain and grow our social presence and networks. As a Social Media Coordinator, you will curate content to gain new followers and engage existing followers. You will create new social marketing campaigns, build brand recognition, and manage all published content. You have the ability think in photos, videos, and graphics with the intent to engage followers and create a unique social footprint. You will work with analytic tools to track campaign progress and reach. You will collaborate with the Media Arts team to align with church messages, promotions, events, and goals. As a junior designer, experience and proficiency in Adobe’s Creative Suite would be required. You will be involved with design tasks from conception to completion. You will participate in producing preliminary versions of designs, engaging in design solutions and processing feedback to improve designs. You are driven by a desire to create and share excellent church-related content that can have an immediate and far-reaching impact.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging written & visual content
  • Develop strategies to increase followers and build brand awareness in the community
  • Maintain an active social presence
  • Maintain and grow existing social networks
  • Create and oversee social campaigns
  • Review success of campaigns and develop ways to improve
  • Monitor social media progress using analytic tools
  • Maintain promotional calendar and schedule posts
  • Shoot basic photo and video, when needed
  • Write copy and captions that supports organizational language
  • Field and respond to comments, messages, & inquiries
  • Design or assist in the design of signage or print material based on creative direction
  • Works with the team to ensure that various aspects of design work are meeting their expectations
  • Works with multiple departments and can take direction from them
  • Execute top quality design work as necessary in alignment with our standards
