Role Snapshot
The Social Media Manager will play a critical role in creating and implementing WPS social media strategy and digital inventory to align with key organizational goals. This will include supporting the social media strategy and execution.
More specifically, you will:
- Modernize our social media strategy to align with key business objectives and execute.
- Develop video and podcast materials.
- Manage website content and facilitate changes to update site(s).
- Identify process to determine and develop social media content to promote services, drive revenue, and create business growth in new markets.
- Develop, write, and post creative and engaging content for social media.
- Monitor and moderate comments and facilitate responses to complaints and questions.
- Collaborate within cross-functional team to identify and implement emerging and shared software solutions (e.g., generative AI).

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent post-high school and/or related work experience
- One or more years of experience in the following:
- Developing and executing a social media strategy based on company enterprise goals.
- Creating and writing unique content used for various social media platforms.
- Experience using Social Media Management software (e.g., Hootsuite)
- Travel – Ability to travel approximately two times (up to four during busy times) a month to represent WPS at company events and attend on-site meetings in the Madison, Wi area.

- Experience using a project management software tool and social media management system.

Salary Range
$70,000 to $90,000
The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
Work Location
This role is open to remote or hybrid work in the following approved state: Wisconsin. Please note that there are travel requirements (as mentioned above) which would require you to be in the Madison, Wi area 2 to 4 times a month.
Remote Worker Requirements
For remote position, employee is required to meet remote worker requirements, including a designated work station, a wired (Ethernet) connection to the network, and a minimum of 10Mbps downstream connection with at least 1Mbps upstream (can be checked at https://speedtest.net).
