Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Sr. Developer to support our Space Force customer. This position is on-site with remote work authorized. We are seeking an individual with strong technical and team collaboration skills to help drive new product delivery as part of successful deployment of the Space Weather Analysis Forecasting Service (SWAFS)/ GovCloud solution.
Responsibilities:
Provides architectural and big picture oversight for development of new or enhanced products. Articulates the architectural vision, conceptualizes and experiments with alternative architectural approaches, creates models and component and interface specification documents, and validates the architecture against requirements and assumptions. Work with various product developers, product managers, and customer application experts to create software products containing required features and modifications. Provide technical advice to other departments within the organization, and may be responsible for integrating components built by product developers. May lead a team of planning analysts responsible for research and technical assistance for a user group. Works without supervision on highly complex projects. Wide latitude for independent judgment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 12 – 15 years’ relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 10 – 13 years’ relevant experience OR PhD with 10+ years’ of relevant experience. Equivilant years of experience can be substitutted in lieu of degree.
- Firm understanding on Cloud deployments
- DevOps Experience
- Understanding and proficiency working on Development and Modern UI Frameworks
- Ability to work independently / with minimal supervision

Target Salary Range
$112,000 – $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
