GeoLogics is seeking a talented Business Process Analyst to work with one of our national aerospace clients located in Cape Canaveral, FL. This is a full-time, 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension.
Considered applicants must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance on contract (U.S. Citizenship is required). Preferred Active Secret Clearance.
LOCATION: Cape Canaveral, FL
PAY RATE: $35-43/hr.
SCHEDULE: 4×10; hybrid work schedule. 3 days remote, 1 day onsite in Cape Canaveral, FL. Considered applicants must be local to the worksite.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Interact with both end users and executive leadership to gain understanding and consensus on business requirements in order to define and communicate the overall vision, objectives, goals, and strategies for the FBM solution.
- Write and refine well-formed feedback-driven user stories that describe and detail features, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and redesign that will allow objectives to be accomplished more quickly and more effectively.
- Conduct functional testing to ensure that defined Acceptance Criteria is met
- Building and maintain strong business relationships
- Capable of working in a fast-paced team environment and be a strong team player
- Proactively develop and maintain technical knowledge in Oracle Technologies, remaining up-to-date on current trends and best practices. Leverages expertise to produce solutions that enable consistency and standardization.
REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance during the contract (U.S. citizenship required). Preferred Active Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field of study
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Business Analyst
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer, managing Oracle databases to include SQL, Forms, Reports, and Application Development.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
- Requirements also include experience with:
- Eliciting and documenting business and functional requirements
- Producing use cases and test scripts from business requirements
- Organizing and executing Integration Test and User Acceptance Test activities
- Providing the business with innovative solution to meet their current and future needs
- Working with the business to document and manage system issues
- Working with technical teams to provide business solution
- Writing queries against databases to provide data analysis
- Translating business requirements into functional specifications and manage changes to specifications
- Performing root cause analysis to identify process improvement based on LEAN methodology (ACE)
PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree
- Business Analyst Certification
