Peraton’s National Programs Business Intelligence Systems & Applications Operating Unit has a need for an experienced Software Engineer to support its SITE III JIOC contract charged with the orchestration, sustainment, and evolution of a portfolio of applications that focus on Collection Management, Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and intelligence operations that directly support intelligence analysts, operations, and collection managers across the Combatant Commands. The SITE III JIOC contract is designed to establish and ensure a multi-discipline approach to requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across the National apparatus of Defense Intelligence, Combatant Commands, supporting Partner Nations and other Federal Agencies to ensure timely and accurate Joint Intelligence Operations (JIOC) collection, correlation and dissemination. Our support team applies best practices in architecture design, data science, cloud services, DevSecOps and platform integration to develop, sustain and continually evolve the enterprise business systems environment, systems integration, and back-end business process workflows.
As a Software Configuration and Release Manager, the selected candidate will oversee the complete software delivery lifecycle. This includes working with the team from the planning phase to the deployment phase through the development and testing phases. This requires strong communication skills, interacting with multiple people throughout the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities include:
- Create and manage the schedule
- Manage parallel release schedules
- Coordinate activities across multiple teams
- Manage the Service Central schedules, updating dates and statuses
- Work with the technical leads to complete the Change Description Document (CDD)
- Coordinate the completion of required deliverables (e.g., IATT, User’s Guide, System Installation Procedure, Function Test Procedure)
- Coordinate with the ISSOs to ensure the Xacta work is completed on time
- Anticipate blockers and assist with mitigation strategies
- Coordinate activities with the government PMs to generate the required artifacts in Service Central (Demand, Program, Project, Change Request)
- Coordinate with the government Configuration Management organization to ensure the materials are complete
- Oversee the deployment activities (e.g., generate Change Request, monitor the approval process, coordinate deployment team, complete the After-Action Report)

BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5

Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience OR a PhD with 4 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience maybe considered in lieu of the degree requirement
- Systems Engineering experience
- Experience developing and managing schedules
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Full SDLC experience
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Service Central
- Familiarity with the DIA Configuration Management process
- Familiarity with the DIA DevSecOps and RMF+ process
- Full SDLC experience across multiple environments and networks
- Agile and SAFe experience

Target Salary Range
$112,000 – $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
