PAY: $ 110,000- $130,000
JOB SUMMARY:
USfalcon is hiring for a program supporting Space Systems Center (SSC), Space Training Acquisition Organization (STAO). This position will support development of modeling and simulation (M&S) software used for injection of space effects into Space Force and Joint exercises to support training efforts. These efforts will include architecture, front-end, mid-tier and backend design using a variety of technologies in a cloud and hybrid cloud environment. Agile methods are used for tracking and managing projects. Our developers design, implement, and maintain operational CI/CD pipelines and software; as well as, supporting the onboarding of additional infrastructure and M&S tools/capabilities.
The candidate should be able to design elegant solutions, solve complex problems, integrate different components, incorporate test into design, and research solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Work efficiently and effectively from the office, at home and/or remote locations in a hybrid fashion.
- Collaborate with team members, management, customers, and external technical teams to identify/capture end-user requirements and ensure high-quality solutions.
- Ensure code quality and security; design for test; assist in code and functionality/usability reviews; troubleshoot, debug, test, maintain and improve software; assist other team members; design, develop, document, analyze, test, integrate, debug, and analyze software and system requirements to provide scalable and reliable services.
- Create web graphical user interfaces using HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and others
- Design, and implement backend software using program languages such as Java, JavaScript, Typescript, C/C++, Python, NodeJS, etc.
- Develop microservices using Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration tools
- Perform Cloud development and services for Azure, AWS and Google Cloud
- Additional duties, as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Exposure, familiarity, and use of multiple programming languages
- Experience with Web, Cloud and AWS development
- Red Hat, Microsoft, VMWare, and cloud security certifications and/or experience
- Cyber Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) experience
- Experience with Java, Python, Kubernetes, Docker, Git, NodeJS, and Red Hat
- Experience supporting DoD Contracts
- DevSecOps experience
- Strong collaboration, problem solving, and communication skills
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- 3-10 years’ experience as a software developer, engineer, or Web/Cloud developer
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field of study; additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
- Current DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level 2 certification (e.g., CompTIA Security + or equivalent) or must obtain within six months of hire
