Software Development Manager (Cable/Video)

Description
1. 10-12+ years of progressive techno-managerial experience with a development background managing onsite/offshore teams of 20+ for a development project.
2. Cable domain and video experience is Mandatory.
3. Align with customers’ evolving roadmap and priorities and effectively communicate to project team members and cognizant leadership.
4. Manage the status of Production issues, track and communicate status actively to client and internal stakeholders, bringing a sense of urgency and impact.
5. Conduct RCAs as needed for the production issues with the help of tech leads and liaise and effectively communicate and coordinate stakeholders.
6. Plan and prioritize work – enhancements, patches, fixes, and development work for the team, along with the client monitoring, tracking, communicating the status effectively, and coordinating releases to production.
7. Work with tech leads, developers, and testing team to balance the workload and team morale and build a high-performance team to manage end-to-end support processes proactively.
8. Manage the periodic health checks and perform proactive actions monitoring the SLA performance and team’s capacity/utilization for implementing improvements.
9. Accountable for weekly, monthly, and quarterly status reporting and running the cadences with client.

Nice to Have

10. Solicit ideas from the team on Continuous service improvements and identify opportunities, and partner with client stakeholders to prioritize and implement.
11. Technical background in J2EE, leading a team comprising leads, support analysts, testers, and developers in complex environments.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $130,000.00 – 170,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
