Software Development Supervisor

Responsibilities

We are hiring Software Developmnet Supervisor.

What you’ll do:

  • Plans, directs, and coordinates all activities associated with creating software across multiple functional areas and products. Prioritizes and allocates projects, products, and resources with the assistance of architects and managers.
  • Participates in the strategic decisions about technology, definition, and implementation of the software products. Makes employment decisions, such as hiring, rewarding. Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of a multi-team or cross-functional organization.
  • Directs software development projects to include, ensuring that projects are completed on time and according to quality standards, facilitating communication upward and across project team including project status, justifications for variances and technical information.
  • Organizes projects through development of a project plan which includes communication of product goals as defined by top management, definition of project strategy, identification of the roles and responsibilities of key project groups, development of a schedule with key milestones, identification of risks, contingency plans and allocation of project resources Monitors technology trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities.
  • The development, building, testing, configuration, integration, management, and documentation of the cloud infrastructure system supporting the mission.
  • This includes documentation of software designs, user documentation, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Risk Management Framework (RMF) plans, and status reports.
  • Support the analysis and troubleshooting of operational system problems and coordinate the associated engineers to correct the problem.
  • The candidate will also interface with the customer on a regular basis, as such excellent communications skills and willingness to collaborate are a must.

Qualifications

What you’ll need:

BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5, in lieu of degree, HS diploma & 12 years of applicable work or military experience.

REQUIRED:
• Security+ Certification
• Active Secret security clearance
• Development and debugging experience with JavaScript, PL/SQL, and shell scripting
• Understanding of RHEL Linux OS
• Understanding of Apache and ColdFusion webservices
• Understanding of Oracle database platform
• Innovative thinker with excellent problem solving and communication skills

PREFERRED:
• Full scope of software engineering life-cycle experience: Analysis, design, development, debugging, deployment, and automated testing
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and Containerization
• Experience with CM/build tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab, Artifactory
• Experience with Agile methods, Scrum
• Experience with DevSecOps
• Familiarity with the security Risk Management Framework (RMF)

Target Salary Range

$104,000 – $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
