As a Software Engineer for Assembly Test Launch Operations (ATLO) Test Labs and Services, you will:
• Design, analyze, and develop software and electrical systems for data acquisition, control, and test assemblies used to support the research, development, and qualification testing of aerospace components and systems in a ground test lab environment
• Interface and collaborate with program customers to develop and refine requirements
• Coordinate and work integrally with other mechanical, electrical, software, and test engineers, across labs and on programs, to ensure a complete working solution
• Prepare specifications, evaluate and communicate with vendors, and analyzes data and reports
• Develop 2D design solutions
• Assists technicians during system assembly, checkout, and validation and leads troubleshooting efforts
• Develop, design, implement, and maintain automated test systems

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Engineering or Physics with coursework and/or experience in software programming equivalent experience/combined education.
• Software programming familiarity includes LabVIEW or similar
• Experience with electrical systems and electronics
• Must be interested and have experience working with electrical and mechanical systems; this is not just a programming position
• Ability to implement software onto hardware systems
• This position requires special access to support various programs and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
• Programming experience especially Python, MATLAB, or C/C++
• Experience with data acquisition equipment and industrial control systems
• Experience with various instrumentation technologies for measurement of test parameters such as pressure, temperature, flow rate, acceleration, velocity, displacement, etc. under various environmental conditions
• Experience with designing systems that comply with hazardous classification electrical codes that utilize intrinsic safety and/or explosion proof equipment
• Knowledge of systems and components such as rotary and linear actuation devices, vacuum, high pressure, cryogenic, and thermal conditioning systems.
• Understanding of computer networking
• Familiarity and troubleshooting skills related to the inner workings of computers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
• Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change
• Ability to define and document solutions to complex problems and to convey solutions to both senior management and subcontract teams

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9×80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $70,500 – $135,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
