Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the team behind building the Microsoft cloud. Within CO+I, the Datacenter Planning & eXecution Engineering (DPXE) team is responsible for delivering datacenter capacity for Microsoft’s cloud business. We have a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-million, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects with specific safety, quality, schedule, and cost goals.
The DPX Engineering team is responsible for architecting, designing, and building the next generation of connected systems and tools using microservices architecture to help manage and support critical business functions such as Cost, Schedule, Networking, Commissioning, Procurement, Safety, Planning etc. in a real time manner. The team has a charter to deliver against the NorthStar goal of building robust automation for these functions through well engineered systems and at the same time design and build the next gen, ML based, recommendation engine to enable cost and schedule modeling, supply planning, execution planning etc. while integrating with the bigger CO+I ecosystem.

Responsibilities:
- Perform End to end SAP Ariba implementation activities (Requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, system configuration & customization, cutover, Go-live, etc.)
- Resolve complex system integration challenges working with other members of the team and external teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and demonstrate features developed in an Agile environment.
- Share learnings and code assets developed with the CO+I engineering team.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- ORequivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in SAP Ariba implementation activities such as configuring the solution based on business requirements, setting up and managing security profiles, establishing integrations with existing systems such as MDG, D365 and coordinating any data loads and reporting for the solution.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience implementing E2E SAP S/4 Hana, SAP Ariba Network, SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing Suite (SLP, Sourcing, Contract Management) and Downstream (Catalogs, Buying, Invoicing) Modules
Background Check Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years of Hands-on experience for implementing E2E SAP S/4 Hana, SAP Ariba Network, SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing Suite (SLP, Sourcing, Contract Management) and Downstream (Catalogs, Buying, Invoicing) Modules.
- Technical implementation knowledge in Integrations of SAP S/4 Hana, Ariba and other internal/external systems is a big plus.
- Experience in SAP and Ariba end-to-end implementation including integration with S4 and ICertis
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, testing and debugging skills.
- Experience working through the full product cycle from initial design to rapid production deployment
- Experience working in construction/capital projects and integration of supply chain activities into Engineering, Procurement and Construction
- Experience in SAP IBP, SAP MDG, SAP EPPM modules will be plus
- Experience with shipping software products across multiple platforms/devices
- Ability to incorporate and understand the needs of our diverse customer base, including customers using assistive technology
Software Engineering IC3 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 – $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 – $198,600 per year.
