Description:The Skunk Works is looking for a skilled engineer with experience in the software development environment for large teams. The successful candidate will be capable of utilizing Model Based Systems Engineering tools and have experience building real-time, embedded avionics/vehicle management systems. The ideal candidate should be proficient with developing safety-critical components using C and/or C++ in a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS), writing automated unit tests, and have experience integrating software components in a System Integration Lab (SIL).
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a minimum Secret clearance to be considered.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree or above from an accredited college in a STEM discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Experience with programming software languages such as C, C++, C#, or a related language
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated experience with the following:
• Development of real-time systems or use of real-time operating systems (RTOS), such as Wind River VxWorks or Green Hills Integrity
• Experience with Requirements Development and Model Based Systems Engineering tools such as Rhapsody or MagicDraw/Cameo
• Experience with Matlab Simulink or similar modeling tools.
• Object Oriented programming and design
• Experience with MIL-HDBK-516C and the airworthiness process
• The software development process in a team environment (peer reviews, unit testing, configuration management, defect tracking)
• Integrating hardware and software
• Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
Must also demonstrate the following:
• Ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict, and manage interpersonal dynamics
• Strong decision making and judgment
• Oral and written communication skills
• Basic financial and business acumen
• Demonstrated experience and ability to deliver results for the business in partnership with program managers and other functional disciplines/organizations as needed
• Demonstrated experience using standard office software tools/solutions e.g., Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project)
• Ability to travel

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $98,800 – $186,100. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
