Boeing Intelligence & Analytic is seeking a Software Engineer – Subject Matter Expert 1 to architect, develop, productize, and deploy a whole new breed of open-sensor framework based on the industry’s leading solutions.

Work Location: Columbia, MD

Telework Availability: Approved for up to 60% telework

Qualification Requirements and Detailed Description of Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineer, electrical engineering, or related math/science/engineering field (required).
  • 7+ years of experience
  • TS/SCI with polygraph (required)
  • Experience required to support legacy TOA and help RF Next team transition TOA apps to new architecture.
  • Python and C++ experience (required )
  • The SME possesses demonstrated experience related to design, development, and integration of the REDHAWK Software Defined Radio (SDR) Framework.
    • Minimum (4) years of experience developing within the REDHAWK SDR Framework required.

About the Job:

  • Works individually or as part of a team.
  • Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
  • Resolves software problem reports.
  • Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
  • Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Education, Training, and Certifications:

  • Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. A Master’s degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.

Summary Pay Range: Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

$140,000 – $155,000
