Software Engineer – Turn 10 Studios

Turn 10 is a division of Xbox Game Studios and was established in 2001 as a first-party game developer. With an emphasis on simulation and showcasing both Xbox Live and Xbox Hardware, our team always strives to be on the leading edge of technological innovation.

As a Software Engineer on the game services team, you will design and develop services to support the features of our games. We push the envelope on technology, with each title looking to outdo ourselves. Responsibilities:

  • You will implement new features and collaborate with other engineers.
  • You will co-own the tools, infrastructure and development processes with the team.
  • You will troubleshoot issues in our production services for upcoming, current and previous titles.
  • You will collaborate with engineering teams from other Microsoft studios, keeping on top of current trends and working to push our technology forward.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • o OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing and deploying web services in a cloud environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on C++ game.
  • Engineering experience on shipped games.
  • Kubernetes and docker experience.
  • Experience with each phase of development and understanding of the priorities at each phase.
  • Experience working as individual contributor operating on their own and as part of team on a project.

Software Engineering IC3 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 – $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 – $198,600 per year.
