Your Impact
This exciting position is with our U-2 Software Applications team within the historic Skunk Works Organization. Skunk Works is an integral part of Lockheed’s Aeronautics business area responsible for advanced systems development including conceptual design and rapid prototyping of clean sheet solutions and improvements and derivatives to existing systems. The ideal skunk is an agile, multi-faceted teammate who loves to solve our customer’s most difficult challenges.
The Manager for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) ISR Software Application team will manage team resources to accomplish the development, integration, and test of team products. Candidate selected will work closely with (ADP) Program Leadership to support execution on the U-2 Program. The desired candidate will coordinate across multiple Business Areas and Industry Partners to form strong working relationships to accomplish Customer missions.
What You Will Be Doing
The ideal candidate will be pivotal in building and leading a team of software engineers and making decisions pertaining to hiring, promotions, and career development. The candidate must have a good understanding of Agile development methodology as well as practical knowledge to manage cost, schedule, and technical drivers on a program. Candidate must possess a secret level clearance or above with an investigation within the last 5 years. Must have the ability to get a Top Secret clearance if needed.
Average 1 per month travel is expected. This position is located in Palmdale, CA and will work closely with ADP teammates in both Fort Worth, TX and Marietta, GA.
Basic Qualifications:
• BS degree in Software Development/Computer Engineering/Computer Science/STEM related
• Experience in leading or managing both Software and Technical Development teams
Desired Skills:
• Practical experience w/ Agile development methodology service as team member, Product Owner and/or Scrum Master.
• Experience with Open Mission Systems (OMS), Open • Architectures and interfacing with DoD Customers.
• Experience developing or managing the development of Middleware applications.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $142,100 – $267,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
