Description:This position manages the Vehicle Systems Software Development Team.
Responsibilities include:
– ADP program workforce administration (re-assignments/placements, recruitment, selection of new employees, and terminations)
– Personnel Administration (training, mentoring, career development, performance/compensation, and promotions)
– Team management responsibilities will include significant collaboration with ADP programs, Aeronautics Programs, other Business Units, and Industry. The effective candidate will be expected to support communications with all levels of employees, customers, and industry from engineer up to executive. Excellent skills in conflict resolution, proactive communication, increasing collaborative relationships and other “soft skills” are desired.
– Support pursuit and administration of internal and customer sponsored technology roadmaps.
– Interface with LM Aero, other LM business units, external customers, and suppliers to develop new technologies and transition them to LM Aero programs.
The candidate must have a good understanding of Agile Software development. The ideal candidate will understand cost and schedule drivers in support of their engineers on a program in order to find and cultivate solutions. Previous program oversight experience executing highly dynamic projects within short timelines while meeting/exceeding earned value goals desired.
This position is located in Palmdale, CA but will work closely with ADP personnel in both Fort Worth, TX and Marietta, GA.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
** Candidates must possess and active DoD Secret clearance to start, and have the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with SAP/SAR**

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or above in CS/CE/Software Engineering;
– Experience with RT embedded software development using Agile Methodology
– Experience in software engineering, system architecture, integration/test, electrical engineering, or a related field
– Experience with Agile Software Development
– Technical leadership experience with ability to lead a multidisciplinary team
– Experience shaping and leading a diverse team in a dynamic business environment
– Experience in conflict resolution, proactive communication, and building collaborative relationships
– Experience with full software development lifecycle for large complex software systems
– Excellent presentation skills and good working relationships with internal and external customers, vendors and senior management.
Must be a US citizen. This position requires special access and a Secret clearance updated within the last 5 years to be considered.
Desired Skills:
-Strong C/C++, OOP, RT/bare metal embedded software development/low level programming(microcontrollers/FPGA/device drivers/comm interfaces)/firmware development experience
-Experience working ADP or similar programs developing Safety Critical Systems software, OFP, FPGA hardware/software; development through sustainment.
-Ability to work with different engineering disciplines to derive and decompose requirements.
-Experience with MBSE, SysML/UML, modeling using tools like cameo
-Strong experience with supplier/subcontract management, hardware/software/FCS/CLAW integration, HWIL development and software integration lab (SIL)
-Experience working with cross-functional technical teams across multiple sites and business units in virtual environment.
-Experience with python, RTOS, Linux, Verilog/VHDL, Software configuration management, make, cmake, Git.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
-Experience with Project Management (EVMS/CAM), detailed planning in support of technical assignments, bidding and proposals.
-Up to 15% travel required
-Ability to work part-time on managerial and part-time program work.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $120,700 – $227,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
