The Role: Business Insights & Operational Excellence Intern

The Team: The Business Management (Insights & Operational Excellence) team is new and vital to the Software Solutions Managed Services & Operations organization. We support the management of the portfolio such that the investments we make in time, effort and money are aligned and prioritized with the organizational goals. This team embodies the S&P Global values through the discovery of new foundations for business information delivery and continual learning prioritization, the partnership to empower leaders with insights to drive business decisions and colleagues with opportunities to thrive in an innovative and inclusive environment, and by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of business information, while providing transparent messaging and distribution.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with a global team to support the objectives of the Business Management team and Managed Services & Operations organization
  • Support and contribute to business analytics projects and processes to provide data-driven insights related to business performance used to advise and develop strategies for operational improvements and future business initiatives
  • Collect, interpret, and process data using KPIs, business data sets, and customer information
  • Contribute to operational excellence initiatives across a wide range of potential activities, including messaging and content, belonging and people programs, business management, and strategic planning
  • Develop subject matter expertise in tools leveraged for business reporting

What We’re Looking For:

  • A bachelor or master’s degree (or equivalent) completed no later than May 2023
  • Basic understanding of financial services industry, including banking and investing products & services
  • Ability to focus on customer service
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Attention to detail and good multitasking skills
  • Ability to quickly absorb and put into practice new information, instructions, or procedures, while seamlessly performing current job tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills-must work harmoniously with analysts and other editors across regions and time zones
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and display a strong degree of flexibility while working under pressure

Grade/Level ( relevant for internal applicants only ): 5

The Location: Dallas, Texas. Position will be Hybrid

Compensation/Benefits Information (This section is only applicable to US candidates):
S&P Global states that the anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $21 to $30. Final salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.
