HID’s PACS Product Management Group is looking for its next Solution Analyst:

The PACS business is highly visible and one of our most significant portfolios within HID Global. The PACS products include smart cards, mobile access and identification, software, services and controllers for physical access control.

The Solution Analyst, Authentication Devices helps to bridge the gap between technology and the business by collecting, organizing, and analyzing market requirements, to define how product solutions should be established, amended, and improved.

Once market requirements are clearly understood, the Solution Analyst, Authentication Devices documents these requirements for the product solution in the form of epics and capabilities as necessary or collaborate with Product Managers directly to define features.

The Solution Analyst, Authentication Devices reports into Sr. Director of Authentication Devices and is a member of the Product Management Group within the value stream. He/she collaborates closely with Regional Product Marketing Managers of the different Business Units, with Product Managers, Product Owners, Architects, and other members of the Product Unit, as well as with relevant members of support functions such as Technical Support, Customer Care, UX, and Sales.

As our Solution Analyst, you’ll support HID’s success by:

  • Analyzing technical and non-technical information from secondary sources such as market reports, news sources, and databases.
  • Interfacing with channel partners and end customers, in conjunction with the Regional Product Marketing and Sales teams, to bring consolidated voice of customer and prioritization into the development value stream.
  • Performing competitive analysis, keeping competitor score cards up-to-date and identifying opportunities to differentiate and win.
  • Collecting input from internal systems like CRM about wins and losses, and feedback therein
  • Coordinating data collection directly from internal and external stakeholders, quantitatively in questionnaires and market surveys, and qualitatively through VoC in direct contact with customers.
  • Simplifying information and deciphering technical jargon so it is easily understood by the whole team.
  • Identifying issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outline business impacts.
  • Consolidating and aggregating input into proposed epics or capabilities to socialize it with relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinating input to the business case for identified epics, including estimates of revenue, business savings, and costs.
  • Modelling business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Following up on customer discovery and customer adoption of launched features.
  • Developing go-to-market and pricing strategies.
  • Supporting the development of channel strategies.

  • Experience with agile development and lean innovation practices is a benefit, including training in SAFe such as Implementing SAFe and / or SAFe POPM is a benefit.
  • Project Management experience is a benefit.
  • Experience with Jira and Miro is beneficial, but not required.
  • Ability to travel 20%-30%

Your Experience and Education include:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree is beneficial but not required).
  • Candidates with an equivalent education plus relevant work experience may also be considered.
  • 8+ years’ work experience and 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Must have experience with the Physical Access Control industry and knowledge with Biometrics is a benefit.

Work Environment

  • Employee works primarily in an office environment, within a well-ventilated area, and is exposed to moderate noise levels.
  • For all roles with job duties that can be performed effectively both inside and outside of an HID site, local management and HR can approve, on average, 2-3 days a week working from home in line with business and team requirements. Additionally, temporary arrangements to work fully remote for up to 4 weeks per year can also be approved by the local manager and HR. An employee’s direct manager has the sole discretion to select which 2 days of the week an employee may work remotely.
  • The direct manager and HR will manage individual, temporary exceptions and schedule changes to best meet employee and business requirements. Employees can also request adjustments to daily start and stop times or core hours required in the worksite with manager approval, as long as it meets the business needs.
  • The company reserves the right to end any flexible arrangement and request the employee to work standard work hours from a company worksite if deemed necessary or if the employee is unable to successfully perform their job duties.
  • Employees are expected to have the necessary equipment and workspace available to them outside the HID facility to be able to work remotely. Equipment should not be taken from an HID facility without proper tracking and approval from management. Except for the provision of standard working equipment (e.g., laptop, monitor), HID will not reimburse an employee’s expenses incurred while working remotely, such as, internet, utilities, and personal cell phone, unless required by applicable law or agreed to by an employee’s direct manager.

The wage range for this role considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At HID, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The base salary in the United States is $140,200 to $155,000.
