This position can be based at our Moon TWP, PA, Raleigh, NC, Beachwood, OH or Houston, TX office locations. The position is eligible for a hybrid work setup.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $116,250 – $180,000 a year.

What you’ll do:
The Solution Architect for the Active Delivery function within Infrastructure Services provides the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to support and development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards. They create deliverables for managing the organization’s portfolio of “to be” and “as is” solutions – including systems (applications, processes, information and technology), shared infrastructure services, and shared application services and components to enable and drive targeted business outcomes.
The position requires a highly technical professional who will be the principal Architect in Active Directory domain management and has in-depth knowledge Active Directory and Domain Controllers in a complex multi-domain forest environment. This role is responsible for processes, standards, governance and performance of Eaton’s Active Directory infrastructure. This includes identifying processes and procedures required to properly monitor, maintain, upgrade or troubleshoot our AD environments (online & on premise). The primary responsibility of this role requires alignment and ownership on enterprise-wide projects as well as managing highly complex issues or requests. This position is also responsible for designing standards, roadmaps and leads the team through critical issue resolutions and training. The position will identify technology trends and make recommendations for improvement to the overall system design and support model while expected to work closely with Enterprise Architecture and management team.
In this function you will:
- Primary owner for AD platform Strategy, Roadmap, design, development, and implementation
- Leads overall effort and works with resources across functions to deliver technology platform, and system solutions to meet customer requirements, providing solution options, making recommendation, and highlighting operational or security risks, as well as providing alternative options
- Defines standards for technologies, platforms, and systems to meet organization requirements
- Translates business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives and documents all solution architecture design and analysis work
- Works closely with the product owners and product managers to ensure a robust architectural runway that can support future business requirements throughout the product lifecycle
- Understands business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) and determines corresponding enterprise solution designs and change requirements to drive the organization’s targeted business outcomes
- Leads lifecycle management activities for technology, platform, systems, and related documentation to ensure operational health and security.
- Monitors technology, platform, and systems to ensure required performance, availability, and capacity. Identifies and eliminates gaps in monitoring and potential impact on service delivery.
- Work with Security, Legal and other groups to define Governance and policy for the platform.
- Define data retention strategy and implement appropriate policy to meet organization requirements while making sure the security standards are met.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution required
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the Microsoft Technology domain including Active Directory
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven experience of Microsoft core technologies and platforms.
• Extensive knowledge of Active Directory including Azure AD and AD Connect
• Experience with DNS, DHCP, WINS etc
• Experience in Microsoft 365 platform management including licensing and administration
• Experience with policy & Governance in a complex global organization
• Experience with 3rd party app integrations.
• Experience with Identity management solution like Saviynt/OIM is a plus
Skills:
• Advanced knowledge of Powershell.
• Advance knowledge of Identity and access management/governance
• Knowledge of differnt regulatory compliance like ITAR, GDPR etc.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery using Jira and ServiceNow
• Advance Knowledge of Threat Detection and Response Techniques (TDR)
• Knowledge of Quest ARS and FIM (Forefront Identity Manager)
• Knowledge of Identity management solution like Saviynt/OIM is a plus
• Excellent proficiency with the English language (written and verbal). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
