The Role
As a Member of the Solution Architecture team you will enable full stack Solutions on new Ampere hardware. You will work along side senior members of the team to architect solutions, develop tools enable repeatable deployments and create interactive demos that allow customers to see the value of Ampere hardware.
What you’ll do
- Work with Solution Architects, customers and partners demonstrate the value of running cloud-native solutions on Ampere hardware through system- and application-level development, tuning, and optimization of solution components
- Create tools to enable automated collection of solution performance metrics
- Understanding the latest in cloud hardware CPUs, and how software interacts in a solution.
- Develop solution demos utilizing deployment automation frameworks and create dashboards to visualize metrics.
- Develop your knowledge and skills in the cloud software, especially cloud native, arenas
- Working with product, engineering and support teams to convey partner and customer needs and feedback as input to technology roadmaps.
- Work with customers to help them understand requirements for transitioning their software to run on Ampere based platforms and create tools to assist customer migration.
What you’ll bring
- Strong background in computer architecture
- Experience working with public Clouds such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud
- Working knowledge of cloud software stacks and virtualized, containerized, and native environments, such as NoSQL databases, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Software development experience
- Strong team player
Preferred qualifications
- Hands-on software development via application development, SRE, DevOps engineering, systems
- Experience with performance profiling tools like sysstat and perf
- Experience with automation frameworks such as ansible, terraform.
- The ability and interest to analyze, debug and resolve performance anomalies across the system and software stack.
Education
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience and 2 years of experience or MS degree and no experience.

Pay and Benefits
Ampere offers a competitive total rewards package that includes base pay and comprehensive benefits. The full base pay range for this role is between $90,000 and $150,000, except in the San Francisco Bay Area where the range is between $98,000 and $164,000. This role will be paid on an hourly basis. The full base pay range for this role is between $90,000 and $150,000, except in the San Francisco Bay Area where the range is between $98,000 and $164,000.
