About this opportunity
We’re looking for a Solution Integration and Testing Engineer to join the Ericsson ONS organization’s Los Angeles office. The ONS organization is an Ericsson product acceleration unit, and it focuses on building 5G enablement and engagement technologies for application and service providers.
What you will do
- Working with Ericsson ONS product development teams in building an understanding of our products and the capability of deploying and operating these products.
- Working with partner platform and application providers in learning how to deploy and operate these products, and how to interface/integrate with their production systems.
- Leading ONS Platform and SDK product integration and deployment effort in authoring and optimizing orchestration and automation artifacts such as scripts and Helm charts for deployment and testing.
- Working with the ONS DevOps team in assisting the integration of ONS development into ONS CICD framework.
- Working with the ONS DevOps team in deploying and configuring ONS cloud-based products in DevOps cloud environments.
- Conducting end-to-end total-system functional testing and validation.
- Working with 5G lab and network support teams in identifying and reporting 5G and networking issues in the system.
- Ensuring quality of ONS product releases by conducting non-functional testing against product owner requirements.
- Documenting and reporting issues.
- Performing analysis to characterize platform to platform performance and optimize.
- Developing and maintaining tools for deployment, testing, and analysis of ONS and partner solution systems.
- Designing and developing customer facing demonstrations showcasing ONS product capabilities and values to customers.
You will bring
- 5+ years of relevant working experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies or equivalent experience
- Advanced Linux system engineering skills and familiar with Linux system and networking testing tools
- Experience in automation via scripting and configuration managements tools (e.g. Bash, Ansible, Chef, Robot Testing Framework)
- Experience in cloud native and orchestration technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
- Strong understanding of Internet protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, QoS).
- Basic understanding of cellular technologies and the willingness for learning hands-on configuration and troubleshooting skills for 5G and networking.
- Attention to details.
- Willing and resourceful in finding hidden clues and come up with solution in the maze of modern computing and networking technologies.
Your Pay:
The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
- California: $144,700-$217,100
Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Your Financial Security:
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson’s 401(k) plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and up to a 4% company match, leading to a maximum company contribution of 7% annually. Employees will also receive company paid basic life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage and paid company short-term and long-term disability benefits. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.
Your Time:
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided up to 40 days of paid time off per year, including 15 days of accrued annual vacation, 3 personal days, 11 paid holidays, 10 sick days, and 1 volunteer day. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Those with additional vacation time at the end of the year may sell one week of vacation, equal to a week of pay. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of maternity/medical leave, 6 weeks of paternity or adoption leave at 100% of pay, and medical leave at 100% or 66 2/3% of pay, based on length of service.
