The Solutions Development Senior Advisor – New Business is responsible for leading the development strategies for targeting clients, building organizational partnerships and strategic alliances with non-profits, regional organizations, and technology accelerators, and working with client executives from project conceptualization through to construction and implementation. This role is targeting new businesses either not mature or gaining in maturity within the organization, with a strong focus on e-mobility. This role is an out-of-the-box thinker and doer with proven success in the energy conservation, emobility, renewable energy, and/or design-build space. An industry leader with world-class business acumen, and a demonstrated track record of successfully developing and negotiating sizable contracts in the field, preferably with public sector or government clients. And a leader eager to make the move to a fast-paced, innovative clean-technology firm with a national footprint, powerful global parent company, and major trajectory for growth.

This position can sit in Houston, TX , Chicago, IL or Oakland CA and will report to the Director of Growth Strategy & Applications. This position is open to a hybrid scheduled of both in-office and work-from-home days.

What you’ll do:

  • Contribute to the new business growth strategy by sharing market intelligence and to settle targets of growth for that specific market by target
  • Develop and take ownership of creating opportunities within assigned accounts, vertical, and/or geographic focus area
  • Develop, maintain, and expand relationships with all levels in an account ranging from Facilities Managers to Chief Business Officers and Financial Director, to Superintendents, City managers and Board/Council Members
  • Maintain professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the company in a positive manner
  • Work as part of a cross-functional project development team that includes project finance, operations, legal, marketing and communications to secure new business and ensure delighted customers
  • Lead customer meetings, contract negotiations, and present at key meetings
  • Create and maintain a revenue and margin quota and robust sales funnel
  • Schedule appointments and meetings with customers in order to review and define program opportunities and desired success parameters, and to qualify the opportunity
  • Identify and ensure engagement with multiple stakeholders within the customer organization and surrounding community throughout the development process, to determine, define and develop compelling business impact strategies
  • Attend critical networking and trade show events to obtain leads, present a positive public image of ENGIE DES and expand knowledge of critical issues facing our customer base
  • Transition to the business developers managers when business gets critical mass and is mature enough
  • Be key spokesman for eMobility for C&I customers
  • Other tasks as assigned by manager

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, required
  • Master’s Degree, preferred
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of consultative and/or complex sales experience
  • Knowledge in a quota-driven sales environment, exceeding sales production targets
  • Experience in energy services, e-mobility and/or renewable energy industry
  • Experience working with food & beverages companies, transits and industries
  • Experience working with or for engineering, architectural, and/or design-build firms
  • Experience in a management consulting or strategy consulting

  • Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc.
  • Ability to lead and adapt in a demanding, ever-changing environment
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
  • Could involve some lifting up to 25lbs

  • Salary Range: $105,910-$270,530 USD, annually
  • Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors
  • In addition to salary, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan
