Exciting opportunity to join a team focused on leading category/space strategy and implementation for the beverage portfolio with focus on some of our vital small and large format customers in the Western Division. This role reports into one of the Managers on the Space Management Team, Pepsi Beverages – Western Division.

Possible locations for this position: Phoenix, AZ; Denver, CO or Southern California hubs.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize space planning software in small format channels to ensure optimized space, tailored by market/cluster/store tied to overall Western Division strategy
  • Create fact-based, analytically driven Beverage planograms in JDA/Space Planning software, utilizing critical account data and category insights to drive the shelf and space strategy
  • Clean and analyze data using Excel
  • Pull and leverage internal and external scan data to develop reports and import data for JDA
  • Utilize syndicated data (IRI or Nielsen) and space planning software data to analyze performance and identify opportunities to develop action plans to drive sales and/or improve customer relationships
  • Work with Space Leadership Team to develop strategic plans to further enhance PepsiCo reputation as a Best in Class category partner as recognized by Kantar/Industry reporting for over 6 years in a row
  • Support Account Sales, Space Optimization, and Category Leadership teams to develop, support, and execute space projects and analysis for some our largest divisional customers
  • Partner with Category Insights counterpart to build, strengthen and maintain long-term relationships with assigned customers using objective detailed analysis, insights development, business planning process and planogram development
  • Work directly and support fellow team members with assigned Key customers on production of planograms that align to their corporate and PepsiCo’s Go-to-Market plans
  • Interact with customers selling with data to grow or maintain PepsiCo space within the LRB category
  • Demonstrate topline growth aligned with our AOP targets through space management and execution initiatives
  • Interact with customers selling with data to grow or maintain PepsiCo space within the LRB category
  • Ensure continual training and development to enhance business knowledge and analytical skills

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $55,400 – $92,650.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years experience in JDA and/or Apollo space planning software
  • 2-4 years of either category and space management, sales, execution and/or marketing experience,
  • 2-4 years’ experience in CPG, Corporate Retail or Manufacturing industries
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft platforms, with the ability to learn new software quickly
    • Intermediate-Advanced Excel skill set desired
  • Strong technical acumen preferred
  • 2-4 years experience working directly with retail customers
