Job Description:
The Contracts Specialist will assist the Contracts Lead in support of L3Harris Range and Test Systems and the Navigation Systems Teams. Will assist in the management of large, complex contracts and initiatives of substantial importance to the organization. Utilizes working knowledge of regulations including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FAR supplements (e.g. DFARS) and other agency regulations.
Essential Functions:
- Analyzes significant and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, and terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures.
- Protects the interest of the company by understanding and interpreting contractual terms and conditions.
- Provides business, contractual, and risk mitigation strategy guidance.
- Manages the contractual review of solicitations, proposal development, negotiation, contract changes, and overall contract administration.
- Establishes and maintains primary contractual interface with the customer.
- Maximizes cash through innovative contract formation and negotiation to achieve business objectives.
- Ability to travel – expected to be less than 10%
- Ability to work extended hours when required.
- Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Recommends enhancements to systems and processes.
- Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects that will result in a positive impact on departmental results.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience within the Contracts function
- Minimum of 3 years working knowledge of US Government Regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Supplement (DFARS), and other agency regulations
- Secret Clearance desired or ability to receive a clearance. Clearance not required at time of hire.

- Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning databases (SAP/CostPoint Preferred)
- Strong Communication skills
- Strong Customer interface skills
- Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $69K – $128K. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
