Job Responsibilities
You will be a key engineer responsible for developing and applying Software Configuration Management (SCM) practices to support the MIDS-JTRS software team.
Position Responsibilities include:
• Create and maintain SCM process documentation, including configuration management plans, and support SCM audits
• Synchronize software repositories across classified and unclassified workspaces
• Develop and release software artifacts including software version descriptions, software source code, release notes, and build instructions
• Develop scripts and automate processes where possible to improve efficiencies and accuracy of the software build and release processes
• Manage source code labelling, branching, and merging
• Provide configuration management support to software team members
• Consult with appropriate software team members regarding matters concerning build and release processes
• Research, design and implement new software configuration management tools from the ground-up to automate and release software application
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
Preferred Skills:
• • A minimum of 4 years of software configuration management experience
• Applied experience with using configuration management tools (i.e. BitBucket, GitHub, Git CLI, Perforce) to track software development artifactsActive Secret Security Clearance
• Advanced proficiency with Git
• Previous experience working with DoD
• Experience with Artifactory or other binary storage frameworks
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $88,000-$164,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
