**Hybrid Role**
Position Summary
The Specialist, Accounts Payable is responsible for processing all payables in a timely manner to ensure the organization is meeting all critical deadlines including closing month end and bank reconciliations. The Specialist, Accounts Payable will ensure the financial integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, and maintenance of the organization’s financial records and in compliance with all federal and state regulations, laws, and mandates.
Essential Function and Responsibilities:
- Prepares, verifies, and processes invoices, and daily cash receipts.
- Assists with weekly check run and making bank deposits.
- Reviews incoming mail each week and forwards it to appropriate internal stakeholder.
- Reviews and approves collaborator reimbursements to ensure reimbursements are aligned with organizational policy.
- Supports timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close and overall maintenance of all operational management accounts.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or general equivalent is required, some college from an accredited institution is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience in accounts payable or an associate degree in accounting or finance in lieu of experience is required.
- Demonstrated intermediate skills in Microsoft Office including Excel is required.
- Demonstrated experience working independently to meet objectives and deadlines is required.
- Demonstrated experience working in financial software including Sage Intacct, Concur, Divvy, Bill.com, or Campus Nexxus is preferred.
All new hires are required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The College will pay for travel and lodging accommodation.
