Specialist, Global EHS Programs

We are seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team. This role will be based out of our Los Angeles Headquarters. This Specialist will support the development, implementation, and coordination of EHS regulatory requirements, consensus standards and “duty of care” best practices for our global offices. This role will report to our Global EHS Program Manager.

As part of the global EHS function, you will be responsible for leveraging your organizational skills to ensure the EHS team remains highly aligned, productive, and efficient. You will support ensuring programs & projects achieve stated goals & objectives. This requires close collaboration & partnership with a wide variety of internal stakeholders throughout all program phases of in-flight projects. You are genuine, creative, self-motivated, and comfortable operating with ambiguity in a demanding & fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

    • Build strong relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of EHS policies and procedures
    • Facilitate the global rollout of EHS programs and maintain program oversight
    • Organize and analyze data for Global EHS programs and systems, ensuring accuracy
    • Prepare metrics, data summaries, materials, communications, and resources for reporting out on EHS programs on a regular basis
    • Applies professional knowledge and expertise to provide meaningful insight on the status and health of programs
    • Maintain tools, reporting, and systems to drive effective and efficient alignment across our global EHS teams
    • Maintain incident investigation tool and track root cause analyses, corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs) and ensure they are closed out in a timely manner
    • Support the roll-out of global cross-departmental efforts, projects, and socialization campaigns
    • Support efforts to establish templates, workflows, programs, and mechanisms focused on compliance and EHS integration into business operations
    • Assist in managing the learning and development program for Global EHS
    • Support and maintain the EHS Management System and drive continuous improvement solutions to incorporate best practices and global alignment
    • Participate in EHS continuous improvement activities and manage actions to completion
    • Work collaboratively with regional cross-functional teams to assist in the development of site-specific EHS plans
    • Contribute to the promotion of Netflix’s safety culture

Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience in safety programs, operations or an engineering function within a Fortune 500 multinational company.
    • Positive, team-oriented, hands-on, adaptive, and client-focused attitude
    • Ability to work in a dynamic team, whose primary aim is to freely share knowledge while expanding a vibrant global safety culture that encourages all to “Netflix Safely”
    • Proficient with Google Office Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.), leveraged to convey complex ideas with practiced ease
    • Experience working with EHS Management software and common reporting tools (e.g. Tableau).

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $50,000 – $265,000.
