Salary Range: $64,525 – $74,827
Essential Functions and Objectives:
Works to ensure that students, educators, families, community partners and internal audiences understand and engage in the process of achieving the goals of the District’s strategic plan. Able to synthesize complex information and craft narrative content that resonates with a diverse audience via a range of communication methods, including email newsletters, web articles, and more.
– Works closely with members of the Communications team and leadership to develop, support, and execute timely, thorough, and clear strategic communications plans that engage all critical stakeholders.
– Builds collaborative, cross-functional team relationships to establish communication strategies and ensure a consistent message for targeted internal and external audiences.
– Assists with the production of communications materials, including writing, formatting, designing, editing, and proofreading newsletters, web content , print collateral, promotional materials, FAQs, and more.
– Manages the review and approval process with key stakeholders before releasing communications materials.
Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:
– Five (5) plus years of Communications, Journalism, Government, or Public Agency.
– Experience and proficiency with Google Suite.
– Effective time management and organizational skills.
– Exceptional writing, proofreading and editing skills with a demonstrated ability to translate complex subjects into engaging stories for diverse audiences.
– Experience and proficiency with AP style.
– Strong interpersonal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to foster collaborative relationships across a variety of teams and stakeholders.
– Strong attention to detail.
– Effectively handles multiple demands and competing deadlines.
– The ability to take responsibility for one’s own performance.
– Works collaboratively with others on a team.
– Aptitude for variety and changing expectations and in a fast-paced environment
– Familiarity with project management, web content management, and Adobe design software.
Education Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
