Purpose of Position
Incumbent serves as Sponsorship Manager for the Parks and Recreation Department, responsible for coordinating sponsorship efforts, evaluating business relations, and developing/implementing/ maintaining marketing.
Essential Job Functions

  • Supports Parks and Recreation Department and Mayor’s Office programs, events, facilities, and golf operations with sponsorship solicitation and facilitation, grant writing and administration, and volunteer recruitment.
  • Works in close collaboration with various departments, foundations, and other city entities to align sponsorship strategies.
  • Identifies and solicits potential sponsors and partners. Develops and implements partnerships through completion.
  • Attends events and programs, ensuring sponsor commitments are met and further expanding the marketing/fulfillment efforts through photography, personal interviews, press releases, and customer service.
  • Writes, edits, designs, and oversees the development and distribution of department sponsorship materials and campaigns, annual reports, and press releases.
  • Assists with designing, coordinating, and monitoring all department social media accounts. Updates department website and events calendar.
  • Cultivates support resources by developing and maintaining marketing and volunteer partnerships.
  • Maintains data in designated programs and locations and prepares detailed monthly reports.
  • Represents department at various meetings.
  • Compiles and prepares annual report with statistics and narrative.
  • Assists in preparing annual budget.
  • Maintains current knowledge of sponsorship/fundraising trends and developments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with coursework in Sales, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, nonprofits, or related field.
  • Minimum of five-years’ experience in sponsorship/grant solicitation, public relations, public presentation, nonprofits, marketing, or communications preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint; and various graphic design software, including social media platforms.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain certifications in CPR and First Aid within required time period.

Work Environment
Incumbent performs a majority of duties in a standard office environment involving handling/grasping/ fingering objects, close/far vision and hearing sounds/ communication. Physical effort while conducting programs/activities may involve standing/walking for long periods. Safety precautions must be followed at all times to avoid injury to self and others.

Incumbent occasionally works extended evening and/or weekend hours, including some holidays. Occasionally travels out of town for meetings/conferences, sometimes overnight.

HEALTH INSURANCE BENEFITS
INSURANCE PREMIUMS:
The City of Noblesville pays 80% of the medical, dental and vision premiums for full-time city employees. Insurance premiums are deducted over 24 pays per year.

Employee Healthcare Clinic
Full-time employees have access to a Health and Wellness Clinic which provides many health and wellness services for employees and dependents on the city’s medical healthcare plan. Many of the services provided are those you would expect to receive from a family physician. The clinic also provides generic prescriptions and clinical lab testing. All services provided at the Health and Wellness Clinic are provided at no cost to the employee.

Basic services paid at 80% ($50.00 deductible)
Major services paid at 50% ($50.00 deductible)

Eye exams: plan pays up to $100.00

SECTION 125 – FLEX SPENDING ACCOUNTS

LIFE INSURANCE
Employees are provided a city paid life insurance policy in the amount of $50,000.00.

RETIREMENT

DEFERRED COMPENSATION
Employees are eligible to participate in the deferred compensation program. The city will match a percentage of contributions up to $3,000 annually.

Sick Time
City employees earn seven (7) hours of sick time each month.

Float Days
City employees receive five (5) float days per year, which may be used as vacation days.

Holidays
