Job Summary
The City of Greenville’s Recreation and Parks is seeking a part-time Sports Connection Attendant! This position will assist with the overall planning, organizing, and conducting various recreational activities and events for Sports Connection.
The applicant may be required to occasionally drive a city vehicle for camps or special programs.
Rate of Pay: $12.00/hour
Minimum Age: 18 years old, by August 28, 2023
Hours: 3 to 5 hour shifts between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.; Open 5 days a week

Examples of Duties
- Assist in the overall planning, organizing, and conducting of various recreation activities and events;
- Serve as coach, referee, instructor or in another capacity at events;
- Assist with the supervision of volunteers and provides the public with needed information;
- Answer phones and prepare and maintain attendance records;
- Provide routine maintenance and housekeeping of the center;
- Report damages and losses, collects fees and payments, and make deposits;
- Assist with inventory and re-stocking of supplies for the facility and maintenance equipment;
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Prior experience working or volunteering in a recreational setting is preferred.
- Knowledge or ability to learn about baseball or fast pitch softball rules is required.
- Must possess (or obtain within 90 days of hire) and maintain valid First Aid,CPR, and AED certifications.
- Valid driver’s license required to operate staff vehicle, as needed.
Regular part-time, temporary, and seasonal employees are not eligible for benefits.
