JOB SUMMARY:
We are searching for our next SUPER STAR ! As the Sports Coordinator you are responsible for providing members and their children with a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for children to play and parents to feel comfortable while working out in the facility. Organize and implement fun and entertaining games and activities for our members.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet and welcome members in a warm and friendly manner.
- Initiate, develop and maintain personalized relationships with members and their children.
- Resolve conflicts in a swift and professional manner to include addressing children on the basketball court during Adult court time.
- Monitor and interact with children to maintain a safe and healthy environment with respect to the basketballs/volleyballs, other children and surroundings.
- Quickly and efficiently respond to member questions, comments and concerns.
- Clean and maintain basketball court, bleachers, storages and safety pads.
- Organize and Implement Adult Basketball and tournaments.
- Obtaining & comparing information from area sport organizations for comparable pricing on league fees & concession items.
- Recruiting and encouraging members to participate and organize teams, ensuring the sufficient amount of teams are signed up for leagues/tournaments.
- Collection of payments for league fees and ensuring proper credit is given in CSI system.
- Ordering and payment for t-shirts, any needed uniforms, prizes or trophies.
- Taking inventory, purchasing, pricing and organizing concession items.
- Scheduling and organizing officials in a timely manner at a comparable rate of pay.
- Maintain a structured basketball court with organized pick-up game schedules while also maintaining a safe environment for group exercise classes.
- Completes all other duties as assigned
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be highly motivated and energetic
- Must be able to lift a minimum of twenty pounds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task & learn quickly
- Comfortable with working with children in the age group of 5 to 18 years of age.
- Must be a team player, willing to cover or trade shifts when necessary
- Must be able to work days, evenings or weekends as necessary
- Must have six months to one year working experience with children
- Infant/Child & Adult CPR, First Aid and AED certifications (must be obtained within 60 days of hire date)
