INTRODUCTION:
The City of Racine Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department (PRCS) is a division of the City of Racine government. We manage parks and beaches totaling over 1,100 acres, five community centers, and many other facilities, providing a wide variety of recreational opportunities. It is our mission to preserve our parks and open spaces and provide essential recreational programs and cultural services in a safe, professional and friendly manner.
POSITION PURPOSE:
In addition to the duties as the Sports Facility Supervisor I, the Sports Facility Supervisor II will act as the lead staff member during the event(s) they are assigned.
Sports facilities and set up for sports & events inside gyms and any enclosed fields overseeing sports/activities for players and citizens of all ages.

Essential Duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Open & Close Facility, including bathrooms
• Must be able to work weekends and nights
• Set-up for games (balls, bases, football equipment, scoresheets, timecards)
• Set-up volleyball posts/nets/officials chair, clipboard
• Raise and lower basketball hoops
• Supervise participants, children
• Protect equipment, facilities
• Call 911 for ambulance, if needed
• Notify supervisor of broken equipment
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES PREFERRED:
- High School Diploma
- Previous experience in facility supervision/management
- A demonstrated history of excellent work attendance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE POSITION:
• Possible stressful situations working with the public.
• Walking, sitting, standing, talking, hearing, reaching, carrying, lifting, pushing/pulling, writing, grasping, bending, twisting
• Exposure to moving objects such as volleyballs, baseballs, softballs, footballs, soccer balls.
• Pulling/Pushing Bleachers in and out
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS OF THE POSITION:
• Air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned work areas.
• Exposure crowds of people, working with the public indoors/outdoors.
• Exposure to odors from cleaning products, floor strippers and waxes.
• Exposure to moving objects such as recreation equipment may occur.
EQUIPMENT USED:
• Volleyball balls, posts, nets, bases, football equipment, soccer flags
• Keys, Alarm Systems
• Cell phones, walkie-talkie and scoreboards.
• Cleaning supplies, such as mops, buckets, brooms, dustpans, etc.
